Should I Break My Arm? How To Move Patients To Another Practitioner
Should I Break My Arm?
Well, the answer would be no – but if you’re looking to move patients from seeing you to seeing an Associate Pod, then sometimes it feels the only way to get it to happen!
and we don’t really mean for you to actually break your own arm Should I Break My Arm?, is a term used to describe a situation you want to avoid, whether it be a school day or being overwhelmed at work.
Most commonly among Podiatry practice owners it comes in the form of moving clients over to an Associate Podiatrist.
Moving patients frees up your time for training and mentoring, and working on your business – as well as keeping yourself in a good mind and body space.
There are 9 action steps to help you instigate this change:
1) Framing It
To begin, sit down and write out 50 reasons why you should move clients over to a new Pod.
The important part is to not just have reasons for yourself, but reasons for your patients, team members and referrers.
Your reasons will range from: working on your systems, meeting with referrers, or you may just be burnt out and need a break.
2) Script It
Take your list of reasons and create some scripts in the context of your patients, team members and referrers which outline why the move is a must not just a should.
