Vanessa Ng – Innovation Podiatry
Member Profile
How long have you been in business?
12 years
What attracted you to Podiatry?
I liked the concept of working for myself and was tired of working shift work.
What’s driving your passion to be a Podiatry business owner and how will you pass this on, into your business and practice culture?
My biggest why when it comes to opening my practice on the Sunshine Coast is about taking charge of my financial direction and also lifestyle.
What are the largest business challenges facing you right now?
Our biggest challenge is the increase of podiatrists in our area
What are the 3 worst things you have seen in Podiatry?
- the poor morals that on of my employers had eg trying to poach our patients
- Poor infection control
- As we as podiatrist have a large scope it frightens me hearing what some fellow podiatrist do without the proper training.
What are the 3 best things you have seen in Podiatry?
- The first is the passion that some of my peers have in the high risk clinic for limb salvage.
- The ongoing drive that my peers have toward constantly upskilling as professionals
- The supportive culture that I have seen in the hive. We are not competition but a business family that help each other out when needed
Other than being a fabulous Podiatrist, what do you do outside of Podiatry?
I am a busy mother and wife who loves to compete in triathalons. I love the long bike rides and social runs. Keeping fit is what drives me to keep moving. Use it or loose it!
